Using signs can increase your sales by 50% or more. Printed signs are better than handwritten signs. Signs with bright colors will draw more attention.

Change your reader board at least twice weekly, if you have one. For the first 3 months of 2009, you should use the year-end figures of 2008. You might want to put this in several spots in your store and perhaps on the front door.

 

I would use the back side of your window sign for other signs. Otherwise, inside the store, you will just see an empty back. You could list your web site address, store hours just to name a few. Letting your customers know that you are eco-friendly would be advisable also. For example, you could list the amount of items you have recycled in the current year.

 

If you used rebates, you should make a sign showing the regular price, Rebate amount and the net price after rebate.

Signs do not need to be just about a price. They could have more details on a product or service. For example, signs can be used to help you sell additional items with purchase. For example, with a toy display, it could remind them about needing batteries. Other examples would include film with a camera,  paint brush with paint,  dog treats with dog food or hangover relief by alcoholic products to name a few.
